Tamworth Country Music Festival 2013

I wrapped up my first Tamworth Country Music Festival (Mic Conway’s National Junk Band) by taking my jug stylings and hi-jinks to ALL THREE other jug bands in town (on the same day): Uncle Bob’s Jug Band, The Chicken Train Skifflers, and The Perch Creek Family Jug Band… the trifecta - whew!

Blokes: from Uncle Bob's Jug Band and the Chicken Train Skifflers.

Blokes, and YOUNG BLOKE! (Kev's son John).

The Hillbilly Goats livening things up on Peel St.

The many moods of Mic's pre-show set-up. Buried in props sidestage at the Locomotive Hotel...

...and on Peel Street under the shade of the tailgate, readying for the Albert Hotel front bar stage.

Witnessing an impromptu workshop from a bloke demonstrating to Mic the finer points of how to do the piercing whistle that carries for paddocks. Mic is obsessed with learning it. Me, slightly less so (these days) - everything of this type hurts my ears too much! The secret lies in making air travel through a tiny triangle between the two fingers and the lower teeth. Much examination of airstream direction ensued.

More beer - delivered in the most elegantly-styled display that had everyone grabbing their cameras and phones.

Who doesn't utterly love Clydesdale feet??
